Hello from Santa Fe, New Mexico
Our latest adventure of becoming new residents of Santa Fe, New Mexico has been a delightful one. The excitement we’ve experienced of purchasing and furnishing our first adobe home has been a wonderful whirlwind of joy.
Our new life in The City Different has provided us with daily confirmations of the generosity and kindness of others and we have felt welcomed wholeheartedly into our adobe home and neighborhood with gifts and parties in our honor, and warm greetings and friendliness at every turn.
This beautiful city has an amazing warm and welcoming quality to it by its locals who extend their hand graciously at first meeting and willingly invite, educate and converse on any topic you choose.
Most everyone you meet is involved in some form of art or craft whether it be writing, painting, singing, playing music, sculpting, cooking, gardening, etc. and there is this pervasive feeling of “artful inspired living” that is very noticeable.
Creativity and expression are encouraged as a part of daily life in Santa Fe. The bustling art and craft markets are a feast for art lovers and the food and beverages offered at local restaurants is artfully prepared and served whether it be traditional new mexican, japanese, jamaican or american fare.
The adobe architecture seen in home and commercial design contrasts beautifully with the vivid blue sky, bold fabrics and bright paint colors contributing to the warm and welcoming vibe that is simply Santa Fe.
