Hello Beautiful Souls,
The phrase, adventure is good for the soul is a common one yet when you have experienced loss, are going through difficult times or desire to experience more enjoyment in your life it becomes vitally important to your well-being to:
- Observe the natural beauty surrounding you.
- Seek out new experiences that uplift and delight.
- Enjoy time alone and also with kind family and friends.
- Soak in the healing effects found in nature.
- Connect with your heart, soul and body and what it needs right now.
- Receive and be nurtured by love, kindness and compassion.
- Be patient with yourself each step of the way.
- Live mindfully, one moment at a time.
- Express in words and creativity.
- Find the laughter within and let it out.
- Listen to your intuition in meditation or journaling.
- Discover ways to reclaim peace, hope and joy, again.
- Move your body in activities that feel good.
- Practice deep breathing to center and calm.
- Release anger, resentment, trauma and grief you may be carrying.
- Lighten up, let go of any heaviness weighing you down.
- Be proud of yourself, you are soulful, resilient and amazing.
In my personal experience as a bereaved mom of two daughters, and a survivor of many painfully challenging chapters, along with the loss of each elder in the family I was left to realize how precious life is while also being on a perpetual healing journey.
Observing the subtleties in life, along with the grand gestures allows the opportunity to appreciate the wonders of life close up in full detail and also on a big, broad scale.
Each day is a gift and each moment can provide uplifting healing and joy to your inner and outer world.
Living mindfully involves a feeling of gratitude for the mystical and magical, soulful and surreal, simple and the special once-in-a-lifetime-moments of true beauty, compassion and connection with life, nature, people and the spirit world.
Soulful Inspired Adventures are one way I have discovered to view life through a magical lens where unexpected delights are found.
The concept of these “adventures” is wide and varied and designed to include many avenues for enjoyment, restoration and healing. You may choose to include your favorite passions and pursuits that you may experience on any given day or step out of your routine and try something uplifting and new.
Whatever the activity or adventure you choose, I just ask that you be extra mindful of how you feel in the moment that you are experiencing it. Is it healing, re-charging, uplifting, comforting, awe-inspiring, expressive, heartfelt, creative, delicious, nurturing and good for your soul?
If so, then soak in that wonderful feeling and let it permeate your being with gratitude and joy.
